Real-life, brain based tools for resilience, healing, and growth.
NeuroNotes is a newsletter about the brain, the body, and how we change. I write about chronic pain, anxiety, trauma, nervous system regulation, movement, neuroplasticity, healing, and the ways our bodies shape how we think, feel, and relate. Each edition begins with a real-life question, experience, or observation (typically from my own experience), then explores how neuroscience can help us understand ourselves and our challenges. You’ll also find concrete NeuroSomatic practices, and reflections to help you notice your patterns differently, and eventually move beyond. The purpose is not to give you another set of instructions for fixing yourself, but to help you connect to what your brain and body are doing and to discover where change is possible.
